Veteran actor Jeetendra Kapoor and his daughter Ekta Kapoor, founder of Balaji Telefilms, have sold their apartment in Omkar 1973, Worli for Rs. 12.25 crore, documents accessed by Zapkey reveal.
The 2,149 sq ft unit in Tower A of the luxury project fetched a price of Rs. 57,003 per sq ft (carpet area) and includes two car parking spaces. The transaction was registered on June 8, 2025. The duo originally purchased the apartment in June 2017 for ₹11.52 crore, indicating a modest appreciation over eight years.
The sale follows a major land deal in May, where the Kapoor family sold 2.39 acres of prime land in Andheri East—currently home to the Balaji IT Park—to NTT Global Data Centers for Rs. 855 crore. The transaction involved two adjoining land parcels and was executed through Pantheon Buildcon and Tusshar Infra Developers, family-owned firms. The land, spanning 9,664.68 sq m, includes three buildings totaling 4.9 lakh sq ft of built-up area. The deal attracted Rs. 8.69 crore in stamp duty and Rs. 30,000 in registration fees.

Industry experts suggest these back-to-back sales may reflect a strategic real estate asset consolidation move by the Kapoor family. NTT, the buyer in the Andheri deal, offers services across cloud, cybersecurity, data hosting, and application development under its India subsidiary.
