Housing.com & PropTiger.com Parent firm deploys Abhishek Makkar as CTO

Abhishek Makkar was named Chief Technology Officer by REA India, the top PropTech company in India and the parent company of Housing.com and PropTiger.com. He will join the REA India Executive Leadership Team and oversee the Engineering and Data Science Teams from the company's Gurgaon location, directly answering to CEO Dhruv Agarwala.

Makkar has led innovation in multiple international technology organizations for 19 years, giving him a wealth of knowledge in technology leadership. He led core eCommerce technology initiatives for seven years in his most recent position at Expedia India. He oversaw international technical teams at Amazon that were dedicated to alternate shipping and shopping experiences.

An important turning point in the group's technological development and expansion is Makkar's appointment. His vast background in developing scalable technology platforms and his track record of spearheading digital transformation at multinational corporations put REA India in a strong position to advance its innovation agenda and strengthen its position as the industry leader in digital real estate.
