DDA to Auction 118 Premium Plots in Vasant Kunj

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will auction 118 high-end residential plots in Sector-D6, Vasant Kunj, as part of a larger scale infrastructure development to enhance livability in one of the city's most desirable neighborhoods. A PTI report states that the development involves upgrading road connectivity, sewerage network, water supply, and parks, all in line with rising demand for plotted housing in developed areas.

A DDA spokesperson confirmed the decision, saying, "The DDA will be preparing 118 plots with their adjacent roads and facilities like stormwater drains, sewerage and water supply for e-auction in the future."

To implement the project, a tender has been issued to recruit a professional agency that will be responsible for planning plots, demarcation, and ground-level implementation. The agency will also take care of connectivity to manholes and mechanical removal of trash.

The project duration is 12 months from the contract award date—three months' planning and design and then nine months' execution. DDA's project has been viewed as a strategic move to address the growing need for residential land in South Delhi, while maintaining environmentally friendly and urban planning norms. The next e-auction is likely to draw heavy interest from would-be homeowners as well as investors.
