Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has sold two residential units in Mumbai’s Borivali East for a combined value of Rs. 7.10 crore, nearly doubling his investment over eight years.
The transactions were recorded in Oberoi Sky City, a luxury residential project developed by Oberoi Realty. The first apartment, measuring 1,101 sq ft with two car parking spots, was sold for Rs. 5.75 crore. Akshay had purchased it in 2017 for Rs. 3.02 crore, earning a 90 percent return. The sale incurred a stamp duty of Rs. 34.50 lakh and registration charges of Rs. 30,000.

The second unit, a 252 sq ft studio apartment, was sold for Rs. 1.35 crore, almost doubling from its purchase price of Rs. 67.90 lakh in 2017. The transaction involved a stamp duty of Rs. 6.75 lakh and the same registration fee. Both properties were bought by Pravin Shetty and Sabita Shetty, according to documents accessed by Square Yards.
According to Square Yards Data Intelligence, Oberoi Sky City has seen strong real estate activity, with 100 resale transactions totaling Rs. 428 crore between August 2024 and July 2025. The average resale price in the project stands at Rs. 47,800 per sq ft, underlining the area's growing investor appeal.
