Tamara Leisure Announces Major Hospitality Expansion in India

Tamara Leisure Experiences, India's leading hospitality company, has announced its plans to develop nine new properties over the next three to four years.

The group's expansion plan is aligned with changing consumer preferences for travel - destination led, experiential travel and responsible hospitality - and will also mark the group’s first foray into the rapidly expanding faith-based tourism sector.

Samir MC, CEO, Tamara Leisure Experiences, stated that the company’s expansion plan is anchored in three key pillars: Development Based on Destination, Thoughtful Utilization of Technology to Enhance guest experience and commitment to sustainable development across all design and operational aspects.

Through its Vision 2030 initiative, Tamara Leisure Experiences plans to develop The Tamara Kaziranga eco resort, The Tamara Alleppey ultra luxury houseboat concept and The Tamara Hosur agrarian inspired resort.

O by Tamara will open properties in both Gaya and Whitefield. Lilac will continue to develop in Velankanni, Kufri and Kannur. Tamara will also enter into the weddings and event business in Madurai with the opening of a culturally appropriate Kalyana Mandapam. While most of Tamara’s new developments will be owned by the company, the company will enter its first asset-light model in Kufri.
