Guwahati has emerged as a strategic commercial and tourism gateway for Northeast India. The city’s growing infrastructure, expanding business ecosystem, and improving connectivity through air, rail, and road networks have contributed significantly to rising hospitality demand. Industry experts view the city as an important centre for trade, tourism, and regional transit.

According to Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels Limited, Guwahati presents strong growth opportunities due to its evolving commercial landscape and increasing leisure travel appeal. He stated that the company aims to meet the growing demand for quality branded hospitality experiences in the region through the Fortune Select brand.

The hotel is also expected to benefit from Guwahati’s proximity to major tourist destinations in Assam and the Northeast. Attractions such as the Kamakhya Temple, Kaziranga National Park, Hajo, and the historic Madan Kamdev temple complex continue to attract domestic and international tourists throughout the year.
