Tesla which is headed by Elon Musk has increased its presence in India through leasing of about 51000 sq feet of commercial space in Gurugram at a monthly rent of more than 40 lakh rupees annually over a period of nine years
Tesla India Motor & Energy Pvt (Tesla), owned by Elon Musk, has taken approximately 51,000 sq ft of super built-up area in the Orchid Business Park at Sohna road in Gurugram on a nine-year lease at an initial monthly rent of 40.17 lakh until the end of last month, a few days after it opened its facility in Mumbai, documents accessed by CRE Matrix showed.
It is a 33,475 sq ft chargeable area leased by Garwal Property Pvt Ltd and will function as both a service centre and a warehouse that sells some of its products directly to their clients. The lease was registered on July 28, and the documents indicated that this is a lease that was entered into on July 15, 2025, according to the documents.

The commencement rent of the second commercial place of Tesla in India held after its recent entry into Mumbai will be 120 Indian rupees per sqft and the annual escalation is 4.75 per cent as per the lease deed.
A commercial lease tenancy which will start on July 15, 2025 will be structured in the following manner 40.17 lakh rupees ascending through the next year 42.07 lakhs, and 44.07 lakhs and much more as explained in the documents.

As evident in the documents, the share of the land belonging to the landlord was to be divided among Suncity Real Estate LLP (21 percent), Orchid Infrastructure Developers Pvt Ltd (3.06 percent) and Garwal Property Pvt Ltd (75.94 percent).
The rent payment should be realized prior to the 7 th of each month and the documents reflected it. The facility has 51 parking places.
