Omaxe Ltd. has announced Omaxe Chowk, Ludhiana, a modern mixed-use high-street development designed to redefine organised retail and luxury residential living in the city.

Strategically located at Ghumar Mandi, one of Ludhiana’s most prominent and established commercial and wedding shopping districts, the project is envisioned as an integrated urban destination combining commercial spaces and luxury residences within a single, well-planned development.

The 5.25-acre land parcel has been secured through a competitive bidding process conducted by the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) and is being developed on a leasehold basis.

With a total investment of Rs. 500 crore, Omaxe Chowk aims to bring scale, structure, and contemporary urban planning to a high-footfall market that already plays a central role in Ludhiana’s retail economy.

Conceptualised as a modern high-street market, the project brings together wedding shopping, jewellery, fashion retail, destination dining, entertainment, and luxury residences. It is designed to offer a more organised, comfortable, and experience-driven alternative to traditional market areas, while remaining deeply connected to Ludhiana’s long-standing commercial culture.

The development will feature premium retail shops, large wedding and jewellery showrooms, fashion outlets, an entertainment zone, and a flagship food and experience destination called Dawatpur. The project targets both local shoppers and NRIs, who frequently visit Ludhiana for weddings and occasion-led purchases. Brand participation details will be announced closer to launch.

Omaxe Chowk is expected to generate significant employment during construction and create long-term jobs across retail, F&B, security, maintenance, and facility management. Developed as a PPP project between RLDA and Ludhiana Wholesale Market (a wholly owned subsidiary of Omaxe Ltd.), the project is scheduled for delivery by June 2030, in line with RERA timelines.
