The Greater Noida Authority has begun land acquisition for two major road projects to strengthen regional connectivity ahead of the operational launch of the Noida International Airport at Jewar.
The move is aimed at addressing access gaps and preparing transport infrastructure to handle increased passenger and cargo traffic once the airport becomes functional.
One of the proposed projects involves the development of a 105-metre-wide road connecting the Alpha-1 Commercial Belt with National Highway-91.
This corridor is expected to improve direct access between commercial zones and existing highway infrastructure, easing congestion and reducing travel time for daily commuters and freight operators.
Key Highlights:
The second project is a 130-metre-wide road planned to link Greater Noida with areas under the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), close to the airport site. This route is intended to serve as a key access road for airport-bound traffic and logistics movement, supporting industrial and commercial activity in the surrounding region.
According to officials, the land acquisition process is being carried out with the consent of affected farmers. Dedicated camps are to be organised to facilitate documentation, compensation payments, and grievance redressal, with the objective of completing the process without delays. Construction work on these road projects is proposed to begin in 2026.
Once completed, the new roads are expected to improve connectivity between Greater Noida and key urban centres such as Noida, Delhi, Gurugram, and Hapur. The projects are also aligned with broader NCR infrastructure development plans, including expressway links and multimodal transport hubs.

The initiative forms part of a larger airport connectivity push around the Noida International Airport, which is driving multiple road and expressway developments across western Uttar Pradesh. Authorities expect these projects to support economic activity, improve daily mobility, and ensure smoother access to the airport from major NCR corridors as the region continues to expand.
