DLF's Rajiv Singh Is India's Richest in Realty

Rajiv Singh & family of DLF have topped the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025 in the real estate segment as India's richest with an incredible wealth of Rs.1.21 lakh crore.

He is trailed by Lodha Group's Mangal Prabhat Lodha & family at Rs.93,750 crore, and K Raheja Corp's Chandru Raheja & family with Rs.49,360 crore. Oberoi Realty's Vikas Oberoi took fourth place at Rs.42,960 crore, followed by M3M's Basant Bansal & family at Rs.41,140 crore. The real estate industry contributed Rs.8.72 lakh crore (USD 95.7 billion) to overall wealth this year, a rise from Rs.7.89 lakh crore in 2024.

A total of 99 real estate leaders were listed, including 23 debutants, highlighting the industry's growing contribution to India's economic growth.

"Real estate, the one that has long been considered among the most reliable channels of wealth generation, has reaffirmed its vibrancy in this year's ranking," commented Payal Kanodia, Promoter M3M India and Chairperson, M3M Foundation. "There was increased participation and fresh faces this time, indicating the strength and vibrancy of the sector."

Overall, the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025, published on October 1, indicates varied patterns of wealth creation across industries. Pharmaceuticals had 137 members, followed by industrial products (132), chemicals (125), software (110), and real estate (99). In a special entry, superstar actor Shah Rukh Khan joined the billionaire club with Rs.12,490 crore, fuelled by entertainment businesses and an enormous global portfolio of real estate.
