The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has invested Rs 425 crores in TVS Emerald (the real estate division of the TVS Group). This investment will be used to support the development of premium housing projects in the Cities of Chennai and Bengaluru.
TVS Emerald currently has more than 4500 apartments planned for these two cities, solidifying its position in the residential real estate space. This investment will also be used for two of TVS Emerald’s upcoming projects scheduled to launch during Fiscal Year 2027.
Key Highlights
In total Rs 136 crore will go towards a sizeable residential community along the Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road Corridor in Chennai. The Rs 103 crores will be allocated towards a residential community project located in Sathanur, Bengaluru. Together, these developments are expected to yield a total topline revenue of Rs 4400 crore, with Rs 1,600 crore coming from the Bengaluru project and Rs 2800 crore from the Chennai project.

TVS Emerald's CEO, Sriram Iyer, indicated that the partnership with IFC fits well with the company's long-term growth plan of disciplined capital use and creating value for their stakeholders.
Imad N. Fakhoury of IFC stated that these developments will provide affordable housing options close to major employment centers, creating jobs and thus increasing local economic activity. TVS Emerald has delivered over six million square feet of total residential development projects and intends to continue expanding its operations throughout India.
