TP-Link has expanded its smart home portfolio in India with the Tapo H110 Smart IR & IoT Hub, enabling users to control infrared appliances, connect Tapo sensors and integrate traditional devices into Matter-enabled smart home ecosystems.
TP-Link has introduced its Tapo H110 Smart IR & IoT Hub to its smart home product lineup in India to make conventional infrared appliances smarter. The hub integrates with infrared control and IoT connectivity, enabling users to control their TVs, set-top boxes, fans and air conditioners from one place.
The Tapo H110 can be used with 18 different infrared appliances and over 8,000 brands, including new and old. It's also compatible with a database that changes over time, so the hub can add more models of appliances over time.

The device is designed to free people from using several physical remotes, as they can control compatible appliances using the Tapo app. It also caters to voice commands with Siri, Amazon “Alexa”, and Google Assistant and enables schedules for automatic operation of appliances.
Another feature of the Tapo H110 is its Matter-certified connection capability. The hub can connect infrared appliances and compatible Tapo sensors to the broader Matter ecosystem, enabling integration with platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and SmartThings.
The hub can also support location-based automation. For example, users can configure appliances to switch on or off based on their proximity to home. The device additionally supports local control when the external network is unavailable, provided the smartphone and hub remain connected to the same local network.
Setting it up, TP-Link has concentrated on making the process as easy as possible. The Tapo app enables users to connect the remotes of existing appliances by choosing the brand and clicking some buttons for testing. The hub also features setup via Bluetooth and TP-Link's Simple Setup procedure.

Its size is 79×79×32 mm, and it is powered by a 5V/2A power supply. Uses approximately 2W while in use and features a built-in 93dB siren with multiple ringtone options.
The Tapo H110 launch is part of the trend of connecting existing home appliances to systems without the need to replace the original appliances. TP-Link is pairing universal infrared control with Matter connectivity and automation capabilities to enable the hub to serve as a gateway between older appliances and newer smart home solutions.
