The new Blisscape sofa, designed by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba, excels amongst the many new entries presented by Poltrona Frau in its 2025 “The Five Seasons” collection.

An aspirational concept evoking bliss + escape, Blisscape is like an oasis of sublime tranquillity, and exemplifies the brand's innovative approach to the notion of contemporary comfort. Fittingly named, this blissfully comfortable seating solution is inspired by the feel - good, convivial vibe evoked by Lou Reed's 1970s song Perfect Day.

Every single detail of Blisscape is designed to ensure maximum comfort: the easy-going seat cushions are sumptuously generous in size, with high-performance padding crafted with mattress-like technology to provide breathability, softness and shape retention.

A built-in mechanism concealed in the backrest cushions controls adjustability, supports the head. The volumetric cushioning is positioned on an elegant base structure covered in Pelle Frau leather, which appears to float gracefully a few centimetres off the floor, further highlighting Poltrona Frau's distinctive craftsmanship.

The rich variety of upholstery combinations, which coordinate the leather structure with the fabrics or leathers chosen for the cushions, is what makes Blisscape a one-of-a-kind sofa that lives up to its name.

A metal frame supports the solid beech, poplar and birch plywood structure, lightly padded and covered in Pelle Frau leather. The plush removable cushioning of the seat, backrest and armrest, which is also available in Pelle Frau leather or fabric, rests perfectly on the sleek leather base. The padded seat cushions are available in either soft or firm – filled options.

To ensure the highest comfort, thanks to an innovative embedded mechanism, each backrest cushion, made with foam and wadding, can be customized to the desired position, be it inclined, reclined or in a vertical position. The sofa is modular and sectional, with various standard or large-size elements that allow for maximum customization with a wide choice of configurations.
