Tamil Star Simbu Acquires Rs 57 Cr Dubai Luxury Property

Indian film celebrities have increasingly invested in luxury real estate in Dubai, with the latest exception being Tamil film actor Silambarasan TR, better known by his stage name Simbu.

According to the reports, Silambarasan purchased the villa near where fellow actor Ajith Kumar lives and has an estimated value of Rs 57 crore, with a prominent film producer paying an advance amount of approximately Rs 22 crore on account of the purchase.

Currently, several prominent Tamil film actors, including Ajith Kumar, Nayanthara, and Yuvan Shankar Raja own a property in Dubai. In addition, Bollywood, Telugu, and Malayalam film stars have made investments in real estate to expand their presence in Dubai.

Industry analysts cite several reasons for these increasing levels of investment, including Dubai is only a four-hour flight from Chennai has a luxury lifestyle and offers privacy, convenience, and personal freedom—factors associated with Indian society—that facilitate Dubai's position as a leading destination for celebrities.
