SRK

Mumbai-based listed real estate developer Sri Lotus Developers and Realty has announced the redevelopment of Shree Amrit Society, a landmark residential society on Carter Road, Bandra, with an estimated project revenue of Rs. 1,500–2,000 crore.

The society, built in the 1980s on a 4,000 sq metre (1-acre) collector’s leasehold plot, is currently home to several prominent residents, including Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who owns a sea-facing apartment there.

Key Highlights

  • Shree Amrit Society redevelopment in Bandra set to launch FY27
  • Rs. 1,500–2,000 crore project with luxury 4 & 5 BHK sea-facing flats
  • Residents, including Shah Rukh Khan, to receive larger modern units

A tender for the redevelopment was floated in July 2024, attracting significant developer interest. The project, slated to launch in the first half of FY27, will feature a saleable area of 1.35 lakh sq ft, with premium 4 and 5 BHK apartments. Around 45 percent of the constructed space will go to society members as part of rehabilitation, while 55 percent will be available for sale. Each existing member will see a 155 percent increase in built-up area, with Shah Rukh Khan expected to receive a 2,800 sq ft 4 BHK unit. Sale units are projected to be priced at Rs. 1.5 lakh per sq ft.

During the redevelopment period, Shah Rukh Khan and his family have leased 10,500 sq ft of duplex space at Puja Casa, Pali Hill, as they also renovate their iconic Mannat bungalow at Bandstand.
