Atmosphere Hotels is hosting a special culinary event next month featuring Michelin-starred chef Pasquale Palamaro. The series, called “Mediterranean Soul, Maldivian Heart,” will blend Italian coastal cooking with fresh Maldivian ingredients in two of the brand’s stunning resorts.
Chef Pasquale runs Indaco, a one-Michelin-star restaurant on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. He’s known for turning simple, local ingredients into unforgettable dishes. "Cooking, to me, is a dialogue with nature—an art of transforming simplicity into beauty," Palamaro enthused. "Bringing Indaco’s spirit to the Maldives is a chance to merge two coasts and two cultures through taste, technique, and emotion."
The fun starts at RAAYA by Atmosphere on November 18 and 19. Guests can join a hands-on cooking class with the chef, then enjoy a five-course dinner at The Village restaurant. Expect creative plates that highlight both Mediterranean style and island flavors.
Key Highlights
The event moves to VARU by Atmosphere on November 27 and 28. On the 27th, Chef Pasquale will team up with VARU’s kitchen for a special four-hands dinner at Kaagé restaurant. The next day, another class and a five-course meal will be served at NÜ, the resort’s beautiful overwater spot.
Anupam Banerjee, Vice President of Food & Beverage at Atmosphere Core, calls it a perfect match. "Through Chef Pasquale’s artistry and our island-inspired ethos, we are crafting an evocative dialogue between Mediterranean and Maldivian gastronomies that not only captivates the palate but also champions environmental stewardship and celebrates the cultural richness of both regions."
