Marriott Launches Series Brand in India With The Fern Hotels

Marriott International has officially launched its new midscale and upscale lodging brand Series by Marriott in India, marking the global debut of the collection within Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of over 30 hotel brands.

The debut is driven through a strategic partnership with The Fern Hotels & Resorts, operated by Concept Hospitality — the Indian hotel management company founded in 1996 by Param Kannampilly.

The first phase under Series by Marriott includes 26 hotels across key Indian destinations, adding more than 1,900 rooms to Marriott’s portfolio.

Locations span Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhiwandi, Bodhgaya, Daman, Dapoli, Dharampur, Jamnagar, Kochi, Jaipur, Mumbai, and Pune.

Concept Hospitality manages six brands with more than 100 operational and pipeline properties. Under the new agreement, its brands — The Fern, The Fern Residency, and The Fern Habitat—will exclusively affiliate with Series by Marriott across India. Marriott has also taken a small equity stake in Concept Hospitality as part of the partnership.

Series by Marriott is about celebrating regional stories while delivering the consistency and care our guests expect from Marriott. These 26 openings mark the beginning of a broader rollout, with over 100 planned launches in the coming year," he added.
