Lepli Collection Expands with New Chair and Armchair Designs

As part of Poltrona Frau's The Five Seasons Collection, the Lepli family expands with a new chair and small armchair - available in swivel, wheeled, or fixed versions - joining the existing indoor and outdoor stool, bench, and pouf. This evolution reaffirms the brand's commitment to exploring the full potential of strong design concepts, while embracing a more conscious approach to creation.

Contrary to the overproduction of new products that, inevitably, tend to become obsolete or saturate the design arena, we prefer to present valid collections that develop organically.”

And the Lepli collection concept fully meets all the expectations of a viable project able to generate further variations: The Japanese designer Kensaku Oshiro has successfully merged iconic Poltrona Frau craftsmanship and décor with sartorial touches appropriated from the realm of fashion. Drawing inspiration from the female silhouette, the curves are nipped in with a slim belt to accentuate the 'waist', whilst classic piped or top-stitched seams and soufflé-soft pin-tucks enhance the curvy simplicity of the chair design.

Details that we also find in the chair and armchair that invitingly embrace with the padded inclined backrest that wraps the seat. The soft, playful lines of this collection hug a bold barrel-shaped monobloc base, which tapers at the point where it meets the upper seat, and is accentuated with a decorative leather band. This gently-rounded and compact tub chair is finely-tuned in the elegant proportions, detail,s and colour combinations.

Both the Lepli armchair and chair can be upholstered entirely in Pelle Frau leather (in the ColorSphere, Nest, or Soulful variants, all Impact Less), or in 100% woven fabric with the decorative band in leather. For an even more sophisticated option, the seat and the interior of the backrest can be in fabric, with the exterior upholstered in leather. When Pelle Frau leather is the choice of upholstery, the ornamental band can either be the same shade or in a contrasting colour. The seat and the base structure are in birch plywood, while the backrest is made of Polimex and poplar plywood. The padding is made of polyurethane foam and polyester wadding.

Enhancing its contemporary appeal, the base is equipped with features designed for effortless mobility. Both models are available with the option of a fixed base, or a swivel return mechanism that enables a 360° rotation with reset to the original position when the user stands up, or a version with wheels for added mobility. Seamlessly integrated casters are artfully concealed beneath the base, a few millimeters from the ground.
