Lemon Tree's Scenic Hilltop Hotel Planned in Bandipur, Nepal

Lemon Tree Hotel Bandipur Nepal overlooking Himalayan ranges and heritage town

In the historic hill town of Bandipur, Nepal, Lemon Tree Hotels has announced the signing of Lemon Tree Hotel, Bandipur, marking another milestone in its expanding Nepalese hospitality portfolio.

Set amid preserved Newari architecture and dramatic Himalayan landscapes, the upcoming hotel reflects the brand’s focus on experience-led destinations rooted in culture and natural beauty.

Located in Nepal’s Tanahun District, Bandipur is known for its car-free streets, heritage homes, and panoramic mountain vistas.

Key Highlights

  • New 80-key Lemon Tree Hotel signed in Bandipur, Nepal
  • Hilltop location at 1,030 metres, accessible via a 1,700-metre cable car
  • Design-led retreat with Himalayan and Marsyangdi Valley views

The hotel site sits at an elevation of approximately 1,030 metres, offering sweeping views of the Himalayan ranges and the Marsyangdi Valley. A standout feature of the project is its 1,700-metre cable car access, designed to enhance both arrival experience and connectivity while preserving the town’s serene character.

The property will be managed by Carnation Hotels, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited. Planned as a well-rounded hill-town retreat, the hotel will feature 80 thoughtfully designed guestrooms, blending modern comfort with sensitivity to the surrounding architectural and cultural context.

Guests can expect a full range of amenities including an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, banquet and meeting spaces, as well as leisure facilities such as a swimming pool, spa, and fitness centre. The design intent focuses on relaxed luxury — spaces that frame the outdoors, maximise natural light, and allow guests to immerse themselves in Bandipur’s slow-paced, heritage-rich environment.

Strategically positioned between Kathmandu and Pokhara, Bandipur is accessible from both Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, and Pokhara International Airport, making it attractive to domestic and international travellers alike. The destination has steadily gained popularity among leisure travellers, cultural explorers, and small corporate retreats seeking alternatives to crowded hill stations.

Commenting on the signing, Vilas Pawar, Chief Executive Officer – Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, said, “We are thrilled to deepen our presence in Nepal, complementing our existing portfolio of two operational hotels and three upcoming properties. This latest signing further expands our footprint in this dynamic market, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences in India and abroad, catering to a diverse range of travellers.”
