Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the opening of Taj Gangtey Resort & Spa in Phobjikha, Bhutan, further strengthening its presence across the subcontinent through its partnership with CG Hospitality Global and Happiness Resort & Spa.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO of IHCL stated that this latest facility supports IHCL's strategy to build in high potential leisure destinations.

He noted that Bhutan is quickly becoming an internationally recognized tourism destination — with its unique combination of natural beauty and cultural richness — and that IWCL’s collaboration with CG Hospitality and Happiness Resort & Spa represents a shared commitment among the three organizations to build luxury hotels within destination-based locations.

The 35-key resort is situated within the pristine Phobjikha Valley and combines modern day luxury with contemporary Bhutanese design.
The resort offers Vista Restaurant for curated dining, Chang Lounge & Bar for signature beverages and the J Wellness Circle Spa for holistic wellness therapy. Other facilities include a heated indoor pool, a fitness centre/Yoga space, guided monastery walks and nature trails, and crane spotting experiences.
With the partnership between IHCL and CG Hospitality, the goal is provide a world-class hospitality experience that is consistent across all resorts within the partnership.
