The hotel Palacio expansion project occurs during a period when various national and regional hotel chains are boosting their investments in Northeast India. The company aims to invest approximately ₹800 crore during the next ten years to expand its operations throughout Eastern India while building its local hotel network.
Industry observers believe Guwahati is emerging as a major gateway city for the Northeast, supported by its improved air connectivity and its upgraded infrastructure and its increasing corporate development. Hotels in central locations such as Paltan Bazar are witnessing increasing demand from both domestic and international travellers.
