Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans to expand its portfolio to 50 hotels by 2030, reinforcing its footprint across India’s pilgrimage, leisure, wildlife, and business travel markets.
The hospitality group operates design-led boutique brands including Ocho Homes, Hanric, Treetop, and Stamps, known for celebrating local heritage while offering world-class comfort and service.
Beyond India, the company also has a presence in the UK and East Africa, focusing on experience-led stays for modern travellers.
Key Highlights
The expansion strategy targets key spiritual destinations such as Vrindavan, Ayodhya, Shirdi, and Ujjain, alongside leisure and wildlife locations including Udaipur, Gir, Corbett, Varkala, and Jaisalmer. Major commercial hubs like Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, as well as select tier-two cities, are also included.
Growth is supported by strong domestic travel trends. Pilgrimage tourism bookings have risen 19 percent, while tier-two cities are becoming significant demand centres due to infrastructure upgrades, better connectivity, and decentralised business activity.
Execution will follow a phased market-entry strategy aligned with demand maturity and returns. By 2028, the group aims to consolidate its position in pilgrimage markets with around 10 hotels. By 2029, it will add another 10 properties in leisure and nature destinations. By 2030, expansion into metro and business hubs will scale the portfolio to 50 hotels, diversifying revenue and aligning with India’s shift toward experiential travel.
