Blackstone Invests Rs. 700 Crore in Casagrand Warehousing Project

Casagrand has entered into a strategic investment partnership with Blackstone, under which the US-based alternative investment firm will invest Rs. 700 crore to develop 4.2 million sq. ft. of Grade A industrial and warehousing infrastructure near Chennai.

The development spans 154 acres across two large-scale logistics and industrial parks in Sriperumbudur, one of India’s leading hubs for electronics, automotive, and export-driven manufacturing.

The project is designed to serve e-commerce, 3PL, and diverse industrial occupiers, aiming to introduce institutional-grade logistics assets to the region.

Upon completion, the developments are expected to achieve a gross development value (GDV) of Rs. 1,500 crore.

Casagrand Industrial and Warehousing has already delivered 6 million sq. ft. and is executing an additional 15 million sq. ft. across its portfolio, supported by its in-house EPC team of 2,200 engineers. Construction for the new parks will begin shortly, with phased development planned over 24–30 months to align with rising demand in the Sriperumbudur corridor. A portion of the project has already been pre-leased to an Indian automotive major for an auto spare parts consolidation facility. The parks are expected to attract a mix of domestic and global tenants as demand increases for high-specification industrial infrastructure.
