Arkade Developers has secured the redevelopment rights for a large cluster housing project in Mumbai’s Kandivali East, further strengthening its presence in the city’s growing redevelopment market. The company expects the project to generate an estimated revenue of nearly ₹1,100 crore, according to a recent regulatory filing.
The redevelopment initiative covers nine housing societies located in the Ashok Nagar area of Kandivali East. Kandivali East has emerged as one of Mumbai’s prominent residential destinations due to its strong transport connectivity and established social infrastructure. The locality benefits from easy access to the Western Express Highway, suburban railway services, and Metro Line 2A, while also being close to key commercial hubs such as Bandra-Kurla Complex, Goregaon, Malad, and Andheri. Educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and retail centres further enhance the area’s residential appeal.
Amit Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of Arkade Developers, stated that the project reflects the company’s focus on building sustainable and community-oriented residential spaces. He added that the redevelopment strengthens the company’s growth momentum as it continues to expand its footprint across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The project comes at a time when Mumbai’s redevelopment sector is witnessing significant growth. Industry data indicates that redevelopment agreements in the city increased substantially in 2025, driven by rising demand for modern housing and redevelopment of ageing residential structures. Cluster redevelopment projects are increasingly gaining traction as they enable better infrastructure planning, wider roads, improved amenities, and efficient land utilisation in densely populated urban areas.
