ArcelorMittal Expands India GCC With Hyderabad Office

ArcelorMittal expands its India Global Capability Centre by leasing 82,823 sq ft of office space in Hyderabad under a long-term agreement worth over ₹35 crore, reinforcing the city’s position as a leading GCC destination.

ArcelorMittal has strengthened its presence in India by leasing 82,823 square feet of premium office space in Hyderabad for its expanding Global Capability Centre (GCC). The long-term lease, valued at more than ₹35 crore in total rentals, reflects the multinational steel producer’s continued investment in India’s technology and business services ecosystem while reinforcing Hyderabad’s position as a preferred destination for global corporate operations.

The newly leased office space is located in one of Hyderabad’s prominent commercial districts, offering modern Grade A infrastructure, excellent connectivity, and access to the city’s extensive talent pool. The facility is expected to support a range of strategic functions, including technology, engineering, finance, digital operations, and business support services, enabling ArcelorMittal to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen its global delivery capabilities.

The expansion comes at a time when Hyderabad continues to witness robust demand for premium office space, particularly from Global Capability Centres. The city has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing commercial real estate markets, supported by a skilled workforce, competitive operating costs, and a mature office ecosystem. These factors continue to attract multinational corporations seeking to establish or expand their India-based operations.

Industry reports indicate that GCCs remain the primary drivers of office leasing across India, accounting for nearly half of total leasing activity during the first half of 2026. Hyderabad has played a significant role in this growth, recording one of its strongest leasing performances on record as global enterprises continue to expand their footprints across the city. The increasing preference for Grade A office developments has also contributed to declining vacancy levels and steady rental appreciation.

ArcelorMittal’s latest lease reflects the company’s long-term confidence in India as a strategic business hub and highlights the growing importance of GCCs in supporting global enterprise functions. The expansion is expected to create additional employment opportunities while strengthening the company’s operational capabilities in the region.
