Sony India launched two new home audio products under its BRAVIA Theatre range: the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6, aimed at launching a home cinema surround sound experience within Indian households.
The BRAVIA Theatre System 6 is a 5.1-channel, 1000W home cinema system featuring rear wireless speakers and independent subwoofer, and the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 is a 3.1.2-channel sound bar with up-firing speakers and wireless subwoofer. Both are Dolby Atmos and DTS:X-capable, which means cinematic sound often heard in cinema halls.

“With the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and Bar 6, we are introducing a real cinema experience right into the living rooms of India," said Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director, Sony India. The products are compatible with BRAVIA TVs and are backed by proprietary technologies including the Vertical Surround Engine, S-Force PRO Front Surround, and Voice Zoom 3 to provide spatial audio, improved dialogue, and adaptive sound optimisation.
Tomoya Kato, Senior Acoustic Engineer, Sony Corporation, explained that “the devices are Indian sound preference-sound-tuned with extended bass and sharper vocals. Sustainability elements include the use of recycled PET bottle fabric and reduced plastic in packaging, as well as accessibility elements like tactile markers and screen reader support.”
The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 will retail at ₹39,990 starting 1 July 2025, and the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 will retail at ₹49,990 from 3 July 2025 through retail stores, online, and Sony stores.
