Samsung Electronics is expanding its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) business in India’s residential sector by partnering with real estate developer Central Park to supply advanced air conditioning systems for a premium housing project in Gurugram. The company is installing more than 3,000 residential air conditioning units across 300 homes at “The Orchard” residential development, with residents expected to begin moving in early next year.
The move marks Samsung’s push to strengthen its presence beyond commercial HVAC applications such as offices, shopping malls, and hotels, while tapping into the growing demand for premium cooling solutions in India’s residential market. Gurugram, located near New Delhi, has emerged as a major business and technology hub with a growing population of high-income residents, creating demand for advanced home infrastructure solutions.

The project will feature Samsung’s DVM S2 outdoor units combined with the company’s Wind-Free ceiling cassette units designed for residential spaces. Samsung said the DVM S2 system can connect with up to 64 indoor units, offering flexibility for large residential developments. The company also highlighted improvements in structural durability, stating that the reinforced frame enhances internal component stability compared with previous models.
Samsung’s HVAC systems for the project include artificial intelligence-based features aimed at improving user comfort and energy efficiency. The technology can learn usage patterns and automatically adjust cooling performance based on user preferences. The company also includes energy-saving functions, sensor-based monitoring, and real-time refrigerant leak detection capabilities to improve system performance and reliability.
The Wind-Free ceiling cassette units are designed with a compact profile and include filtration technology aimed at improving indoor air quality. Samsung said the systems are equipped to capture ultrafine dust and reduce bacteria levels under tested conditions, supporting healthier indoor environments for users.
The air conditioning systems can also integrate with Samsung’s SmartThings platform, allowing residents to monitor temperature, humidity, air quality, and energy consumption through a connected application. The smart home integration reflects the company’s broader strategy of combining artificial intelligence with everyday consumer technology.
