
Hotel Management reported that Milo X Robotics is expanding into the hospitality industry with automation solutions designed to improve hotel operations and reduce labor pressure. The Michigan-based company is introducing autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) to handle repetitive back-of-house tasks while allowing hotel staff to focus more on guest experiences.
The robots are built to perform various hotel tasks which include delivering room service and transporting linen and restocking housekeeping supplies and moving laundry and providing concierge assistance and disposing of waste.

According to company founder Larry Mason, the goal of automation is not to replace hospitality workers but to eliminate time-consuming tasks that reduce staff interaction with guests. The company believes that automation will enable hotels to sustain their service standards during ongoing staff shortages because it will create better operational workflows and result in higher productivity from employees.
The hospitality industry has started to adopt robotic systems and artificial intelligence technologies throughout recent times. Industry reports indicate that robots currently operate in hotels around the world to perform cleaning tasks and deliver food and provide concierge assistance and support operational functions. Experts say these technologies can improve efficiency while decreasing operational workload and delivering faster service to guests.
