KONE Expands Focus on India's Luxury Home Segment

KONE India, a subsidiary of Finnish company KONE Corporation, has announced that it has entered the luxury residential market with the launch of the KONE Villa 100, which is a compact and energy-efficient lift designed for use in villas and low-rise residences.

This new lift can be installed in five days and uses significantly less energy than a average refrigerator, fulfilling a need for eco-friendly, space-efficient transportation in high-quality residences.

The lift is powered by permanent magnet synchronous gearless drive systems combined with variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) controls and requires 220V single phase electrical supplies; it also has advanced smart features to help save energy through automatic control of lighting and ventilation.

The KONE Villa 100 is an extension of KONE's current range for residential use; according to projections from CBRE, the luxury residential market in India saw a growth of 70% in 2025, and approximately 27% of sales from high-end units accounted for total residential sales and more than two times what it had before during the year 2022.

The Managing Director of KONE India & South Asia, Amit Gossain, said that KONE's residential portfolio continues to grow in premium housing segment.
