EcoEarth: Transforming Spaces with Smart Illumination

Divyansh Batra
Founder

India’s LED lighting industry is booming, but poor product choices like buying basic downlighters online without considering actual illumination needs often leave homes overlit, underlit, or uninspiring. This can lead to inefficient lighting, overuse of fixtures, and even negative effects on health and vision. Meanwhile, demand is growing for smarter, more versatile solutions that go beyond simple on-and-off functionality.

ECOEARTH is at the forefront of this transformation. With a portfolio of over 800 SKUs, the company offers India’s largest smart lighting range. Its retrofit, easy-to-install solutions allow users to transform spaces with dimmable, warm, or natural light settings, creating the perfect ambience for every mood. By combining innovation with education, ECOEARTH is not just addressing industry challenges it’s redefining how lighting enhances everyday living.

A Noteworthy Founding Journey

ECOEARTH LED, a subsidiary of Brahma Auto Industry founded by Rajiv Batra, began in 2015 to provide sustainable lighting solutions. Brahma Auto, established in 1988, was an OEM for switches and tail lamp assemblies in the two-wheeler sector. Entering a China-dominated market, the company began manufacturing electronics, housings, and luminaires in India.

In 2017, ECOEARTH pioneered India’s first IoT-based smart lighting under the brand NEO, offering Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and voice-command-enabled solutions while continuing its traditional domestic lighting range. “Our guiding line states: Your mood, your light. We invite our customers to experience ECOEARTH Lighting and transform your home into a new space every day”, explains Divyansh Batra, Founder, ECOEARTH.

Expanding Horizons

ECOEARTH stands out as one of the few Indian companies manufacturing LED lights entirely in-house, from housings to electronics. Each luminary is designed for specific space needs. The range includes tunable whites for cozy, dimmable lighting and color-plus tunable whites that sync with music for gaming or parties. Lights work with remotes, apps, and voice control. Neo, initially focused on “smarter lighting”, now positions itself as a “smarter living” brand.

Today, the company is moving into full home automation with retrofit switch modules, smart switches, smart curtain motors, smart hubs, video doorbells, and other IoT-driven products. After merging with Deco, ECOEARTH has set up a new 60,000 sq. ft. plant dedicated to Electric Manufacturing Services (EMS), where most of its smart products are developed. This plant is part of Deco Group’s 1 million sq. ft. manufacturing setup, one of the largest electronics and appliances manufacturing units, employing over 2,000 people. It is now developing smart fans, water heaters, lighting, and other IoT products to expand its smart home ecosystem.

Customer Connect

For ECOEARTH lighting isn’t just about brightness it’s about creating the right mood. Customers often say ECOEARTH lights do more than just switch on and off; they love the ambience they can craft, whether for a cozy evening, a gaming session, or a family gathering. “The emotional connect is what transforms lighting from being functional to being experiential”, notes Batra. The company actively incorporates feedback to enhance user experience, making lighting both functional and emotionally engaging.

Innovation and accessibility remain the brand’s hallmark. ECOEARTH Beacon Lights make smart features affordable for everyone, while unique rhythmic daylight cycles adjust lighting to natural patterns throughout the day no other company in India currently offers this feature. “We’re not chasing luxury”, Batra adds, “we’re making everyday living smarter and more sustainable”.

  • Guided by the belief that “Your mood, your light”, ECOEARTH Lighting invites customers to experience how our solutions can transform your home into a new space every day

The Path Ahead

The future for ECOEARTH is integration. Beyond lights, the Neo brand is introducing smart switches, central control hubs, retrofit modules, luxury lighting products, smart magnetic track lights, video doorbells, curtain motors, smart locks, smart water heaters, and smart fans all using a sustainable wireless automation platform. This approach breaks the myth that automation is only for high-end or newly built homes, making smarter living accessible to everyone.

With innovation, affordability and sustainability at its core, ECOEARTH isn’t just redefining lighting it ’ s pioneering the future of smarter, more connected homes in India.

ECOEARTH will showcase its entire range of smart home automation products at the Smart Home Expo 2025, taking place from May 8 to 10, 2025, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Visit ECOEARTH to experience how the future of Indian homes is being built today.
