Onora Hospitality has joined hands with Dilip Kapur's children Ayesha and Milan Kapur to transform their family home in Puducherry into a luxury boutique hotel under its Bookmark Resorts banner. The property, Bookmark Resorts Puducherry, will open in the fourth quarter of 2026. This will be the third Bookmark Resorts property after its places in Manali and Ranthambore.
Situated across from the famous Aurobindo Ashram and Golconde Building, the hotel will be accommodated in a restored Tamil-Franco colonial bungalow that was originally the home of a French-period customs officer. The restoration is being managed by an Egyptian architect who has been residing in Auroville in association with Heritage Matters to maintain its architectural integrity and cultural heritage.
