Jaypee Infratech to resume the Development Work of 7 Stalled Projects in Delhi-NCR

Jaypee Infratech, now controlled by the Suraksha Group, has received re-validation of RERA registration for seven stalled real estate projects in Delhi-NCR. This crucial step will enable the company to accelerate construction and deliver properties to long-waiting homebuyers. The seven projects encompass over 10,000 units.

The Suraksha Group assumed control of JIL in June 2023, following an NCLAT decision that upheld their bid to acquire the company. As part of the acquisition, Suraksha was directed to pay an additional Rs. 1,334 crore to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) for farmer compensation.

Sudhir V Valia, a promoter of the Suraksha Group, joined the JIL board as a Non-Executive Director.

The re-validation of RERA registration for these seven projects is expected to significantly expedite their completion. It will also simplify the process for homebuyers to secure home loans from banks and financial institutions. The projects include Jaypee Greens Klassic - D, Jaypee Greens Kosmos - A (Phase II), Jaypee Greens Kosmos - C, Jaypee Greens Kensington Boulevard Apartments, Jaypee Greens Kasa Isles, Jaypee Greens Krescent Homes, and Pebble Court.

These projects collectively comprise 10,082 units of varying configurations and sizes. According to sources, deliveries are scheduled to begin in a phased manner from December 2025, as per the resolution plan. JIL is also pursuing re-validation of RERA registration for its remaining projects, with expectations of a positive outcome soon.

JIL's Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) began in August 2017, initiated by an IDBI Bank-led consortium. The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved Suraksha Group's bid in March 2023, and the NCLAT subsequently approved the resolution plan in May 2024, paving the way for the Suraksha Group to take control and revitalize these stalled projects.
