Eight​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Continents Hotels and Resorts has expanded its African footprint with the debut of Signature Collection by Eight Continents, Mafia Island, Tanzania.

The launch following the brand’s extension in Zanzibar is consistent with its aim to extend out of the city into nature-based luxury and culturally immersive high-end leisure destinations.

The resort is at the very heart of some of the most unpolluted marine ecosystems of East Africa which includes coral reefs, seagrass beds and diverse marine life. The place was selected because of its environmental importance and its attractiveness to travellers seeking peace and revelation.

The facility merges Ayurvedic wellness with beach calm and intuitive interiors and at the same time, it supports the company’s tourism focus and local resident participation.

The resort, built to be an island retreat led by Ayurveda, comprises of ocean view and garden view chalets, both having their individual verandas.
