Angel One Founder's Son Secures 87% Return on Luxury Flat for Rs. 52.48 Crore

Vinay Dinesh Thakkar, son of Angel One Founder and Chairman Dinesh Thakkar, has sold a premium apartment in Mumbai's affluent Andheri West for Rs. 52.48 crore, according to documents obtained by Zapkey.

The property was registered on 20th June 2025, and it gave him 86.7 percent returns in a little over two years, which works out to a carpet rate of around Rs. 1.4 lakh per sq ft.

Angel One is the largest financial services company in India. The deal was laid out in the posh Atlantis building, and was registered on 20th June 2025. Thakkar purchased the apartment on the 25th floor in March 2023 for Rs. 28.11 crore.

The deal price with buyer Manoj Shyam Sundar Khaitan represents an overall return of 86.7 percent over 2.25 years, and a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 29.4 percent, Zapkey said.

The apartment has a RERA carpet area of 3,891 sq ft as well as a 409 sq ft balcony, and is entitled to four car parks. The rate of Rs. 52.48 crore represents a carpet rate of around Rs. 1.4 lakh per sq ft, which ranks it as one of the highest value residential deals in the locality, according to the document made available to Zapkey.

Atlantis is a high-rise luxury development located in Andheri West, noted for its quality amenities and access to significant business districts. It has become one of the most desirable residential addresses (for) in the Mumbai suburbs.
