With Indian travellers increasingly seeking slower, experience-led holidays that offer deeper connections to nature and culture, Nature Trails — the experiential hospitality brand of Thomas Cook (India) Limited — has opened its sixth property: Nature Trails Ashoka Resort in Hampi, Karnataka.
This launch strengthens the brand’s presence in culturally significant and nature-rich destinations across India. The other Nature Trails resorts are located in Durshet, Sajan, and Kundalika in Maharashtra; Rock Valley in Goa; and Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. Set amid Hampi’s unique boulder-strewn landscape — the resort offers panoramic views of rocky hills and open terrain.
Designed for immersive travel experiences, the property provides tranquillity while remaining close to Hampi’s historic UNESCO World Heritage monuments and iconic heritage sites.
Accommodation at Nature Trails Ashoka Resort includes Superior Rooms, Classic Rooms, eco-friendly Bamboo Cottage Rooms, and a dormitory option for group travellers. Landscaped gardens and open outdoor spaces encourage guests to engage with the natural surroundings. The hillside swimming pool overlooks the rugged terrain, offering a relaxed ambience.

Dining options include Archana, an open-air multi-cuisine restaurant serving Indian, Chinese, and Goan dishes, and Grills by the Pool, a casual poolside barbeque and beverage venue. Guests can explore neighbouring attractions such as Anjanadri Hill, temples, forts, sacred water bodies, villages, and spice plantations. The resort also facilitates nature walks and seasonal trails that highlight local landscape and heritage.
For events and gatherings, the property features indoor meeting spaces, a hall with a poolside venue, and expansive open lawns suited for celebrations. Guest amenities include landscaped gardens, Wi-Fi access, parking, 24-hour front desk support, room service, and doctor-on-call assistance.
Nature Trails Ashoka Resort is located on Anegundi-Gangavathi Road, near Sangapur in Karnataka — approximately 3 km from Gangavathi, 10–11 km from Anjanadri Hill, and about 22 km from Hampi. The resort is accessible via Hubli Airport (around 170 km away) and Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (around 340 km).
