
ITC Hotels Limited (ITCHL) has reached a significant milestone with the 50th signing of its Welcomhotel brand in India, further strengthening its presence in the country’s growing hospitality sector.
The latest additions include new hotel projects in Shirdi and Bhubaneshwar, developed in partnership with Sandy Resort Private Limited.
Under this agreement, ITCHL will operate a 73-room hotel in Shirdi and an 84-room property in Bhubaneshwar, both under the Welcomhotel brand. With these additions, the brand portfolio now comprises 51 hotels with over 5,500 keys, including 30 operational properties and 21 in the pipeline.

The Welcomhotel brand continues to grow across key religious, leisure, and emerging destinations. In the past 12 months alone, ITCHL has signed properties across 16 locations, including Ayodhya, Sarnath, and Vrindavan (Uttar Pradesh); Bodh Gaya (Bihar); Jaipur and Salasar (Rajasthan); Karai and Rajkot (Gujarat); Mysuru (Karnataka); Nellore (Andhra Pradesh); Panjagutta and Shankarpally (Telangana); Dehradun (Uttarakhand); Shirdi (Maharashtra); Mohali (Punjab); and Bhubaneshwar (Odisha).
Additionally, upcoming openings under the brand include Gangtok (Sikkim) and Bhopal and Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), indicating a diversified geographic strategy. This expansion highlights ITCHL’s focus on tapping into high-growth markets such as religious tourism hubs and tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
The company’s strategy aligns with rising demand for branded hospitality across India, driven by improved connectivity, increasing domestic travel, and evolving consumer preferences.
