IHG Hotels & Resorts, in association with K Raheja Group, has launched a new hotel project in Powai, which will add to the existing hotel infrastructure in Mumbai.
Strengthening its position as a global business and tourism destination, there is a growing demand for integrated hospitality developments, especially in the MICE segment. The project, which is a dual hotel complex along with a large convention centre, was flagged off with a pre-opening ceremony in the presence of Devendra Fadnavis, which underlines its significance and size.
Key Highlights
The project, which is scheduled to be completed in 2026, will comprise 300 rooms, 13 meeting spaces, four food and beverage outlets, and large indoor and outdoor event spaces.
The project, which is designed to provide a holistic hospitality ecosystem, will cater to both business and leisure travelers, while at the same time strengthening Mumbai's capabilities in hosting large-scale conferences and events. This is a significant trend, where there are increased collaborations between real estate developers and hotel groups to deliver destination-led projects.

The project is in Powai, which is a rapidly growing commercial and residential centre, with good connectivity and proximity to key business districts. Industry experts are of the opinion that with corporate travel picking up momentum and a growing demand for convention infrastructure, this project will play a vital role in bridging the existing infrastructure gap in metro cities.
This project is a significant milestone in terms of global investor sentiment in India, which is a testament to the growth prospects in the hospitality sector in India.
